Update 4.5 – Buffs and Tier 7 Heavies Rebalanced

Update 4.5 is bringing with it a large amount of buffs and a full re-balance of tier 7 heavy tanks. In the specs below, I have only mentioned what is being buffed on fully researched modules on a tank and not the stock version of a tank. The E75 for example has received an engine upgrade however it is on the stock engine only.

IS2 has not been buffed in update 4.5 due to a bug complication when trying to buff it, we can hopefully assume that soon the IS2 will receive the same buffs as the IS.

Tier 3

Cruiser Mk. II

Weapon 40 mm Pom-Pom – Clip reload time increased from 3.26 second to 10.78 seconds

Tier 6

Engine power increased from 670HP to 720HP

Tier 7

Reverse speed increased from 12 to 14 km/h

Reload time decreased from 6.71 to 6.23 s

Frontal armour cheeks increased from 80 to 200 mm

Dispersion on the move and hull traverse was decreased from 0.25 to 0.18

Mobility on the medium and soft ground was increased.

Increased armour on the top of the turret (that is closer to front) from 30 to 75 mm

Fixed the armour behind the gun mask from 0 to 230 mm

Front armour (upper front plate) was increased from 140 to 160MM

Changed the side armour (upper side plate) from 160 to 140 mm

T110E3

The armour behind the mantlet has gone from 0 to 229 mm

The armour behind the mantlet has gone from 0 to 152 mm

The armour behind the mantlet has gone from 0 to 203 mm

FV215b

The armour behind the mantlet has gone from 0 to 254 mm

Changed the side armour (lower part) from 50.8 to 76.2 mm

Fixed armour on the commanders tower – who wastes time aiming for the commanders hatch on this tank?

  1. So the T29 now has better turret traverse than the T32 a tier above it… Good job Wargaming.

    Meanwhile my T23E3 sits in the corner of the garage with a dunce cap on wondering what in the world it did to make WG hate it so much.

  2. This is all very well but, what happens now when you get up-tiered in a tier 6 tank?
    Those once impenetrable tier 7 heavies have become moving brick walls

  3. The black prince buff was to the stock gun, not the top gun. It has the same dpm as the e25 now. (I’ve debated keeping this information to myself, as I have yet to see anyone else mention this fact). 😉

  4. Hi Sk8, What I thought WG managed to do, before the buff, was giving tiers different characteristics.
    1-5 Dedicated to seal clubbing, obviously they encourage that alot!
    6 perfecting your skills
    7 seven was good game, but still on your own skills. You could yolo like a clown, and carry.
    But from 8 on you have to concentrate on team play, holding line, spot a weakness in the other team and exploit it. Read your our line up and play accordingly.

    I just fear that seven will be more static, it was a fun tier with many lights, that, yeah, might be overpowered. So what, it gave seven a different pace and a very dynamic game play. thats dissapearing.
